Here's how it works...
Easy claim process with dedicated customer support
1. Report the claim within 30 days of the electrical power surge event that damaged a covered electronic item by emailing support@gotrhythm.com or calling 1-888-7RHYTHM.
2. Complete and submit a claim form and required documentation in My Account within 60 days after the electric power surge event was reported.
An invoice or other documentation from a qualified technician licensed by the State of Texas on that technician’s letterhead (which contains the technician’s license number and all applicable contact information)
Identifies the damaged electronic item by make, model and serial number
Includes a statement that the damage to the item was caused by an electrical power surge event and the date of that event
Describes either the repair services performed and their cost, or the reason the item is not repairable

Tips for safeguarding electronics and appliances
Some power surges, such as a lightning strike, are so powerful that it is nearly impossible to avoid damage. However, there are some steps that you can take to protect your home from lesser surges:
Ask an electrician to check your home for any faulty wiring
Use plug-in power strips that include surge protection appropriate to your electronics
Install a whole house surge protector by your fuse box; these come rated in joules with prices starting around $70
Hardwire a Transient Voltage Surge Suppressor (TVSS) into your wall outlets
Unplug electrical appliances during lightning storms.

You must be on a Rhythm Surge Protection or Rhythm Surge Protection Plus plan for 30 days before submitting a claim.
All power surges are covered, whether they are caused by nature, by faulty wiring in your home, or by major appliances that damage other electronic devices.
